Nearly 10,000 cruise ship tourists to central Vietnam

Nha Trang, a popular tourist resort in central Vietnam, is preparing to receive nearly 10,000 foreign visitors from cruise ships in November and December.

The US cruise ship Diamond Princess departing from Hong Kong will dock at the coastal city on Thursday (Nov. 11) carrying nearly 2,900 tourists from different countries.

Three other US cruise ships with more than 6,000 visitors are scheduled to dock on Nov. 11, Dec. 1 and 4, said local authorities at a meeting on Tuesday.

The capital city of Khanh Hoa Province is well-known for beautiful beaches, ideal scuba-diving, Po Nagar Cham towers, Long Son Pagoda, Hon Chong Promontory and Thap Ba hot springs.
