Spring Flower Festival to kick off in Ho Chi MInh City

The Spring Flower Festival to celebrate the upcoming traditional Lunar New Year Festival is scheduled to take place at Tao Dan Park, Ho Chi Minh City from January 24 to February 5, 2006, according to the organising board.

It is expected that the festival will draw the participation of individuals and organisations in the city and provinces as well as foreign countries, with more than 2,000 objects and activities on display such as fresh flowers, flower arranging art, ornamental trees, pets and fish, bonsai and cactuses.

During the event, more than 700 artisans will showcase various flowers, including 30 new species.
